Sam and Mark
Welcome to Lakeland Alpacas.
We are located in the beautiful Granite belt region of Queensland, in the small suburb of Broadwater, next to Stanthorpe which is known as Queensland's coldest town, along with its nutrient rich soils, provide the ideal conditions for raising alpacas.
Our aim is to take our passion for alpacas and position ourselves among the best fleece growers in the industry by making several investments into superior animals which we are hoping will pay dividends in the future.
We are happy and proud at the achievements and advancements we have made so far and strive to continue doing so with a focus on fleece density, length and longevity.
Understanding quality starts at the beginning with healthy, upstanding, strong boned alpacas which have beautiful well-nourished fleeces, suitable not only for the show ring but ensuring significant contribution towards a viable fleece industry.
We are hugely excited for the future with our current cria drop already exhibiting vast improvements not only in quality but importantly, in health.
Grand Duke Ferdinand and Admiration have already begun laying the foundations and impacting our herd and we are looking forward to the cria expected from Granger, Extreme, Torquil, Maharaja and Martino and the following year our up-and-coming young studs Revolver, Zelensky and Grandeur; all selectively chosen for their amazing pedigrees, elite female lineage and outstanding qualities.
Alpacas are the most glorious animals to have in your life, full of fun and curiosity.
They are so versatile and are suitable animals for small breeders to commercial herds, as livestock guardians, pets, high quality fibre producers or show animals.
We are very passionate about the wellbeing of our alpacas and offer ongoing support and advise to any and all alpaca owners in need, so please don't hesitate to contact us.
